Scott Humbert'77 - Awarded Distinquished Comet Alumni Award

Scott Humbert, Class of 1977, has been chosen as the recipient of the Distinguished Comet Alumni Award, issued by the Comets Alumni Association for his towering achievements in his field, exemplary family values, and altruistic ideals towards the community and his alma mater. Many may not know that the remarkable transformation experienced by both campuses during 7 years starting in 1997 until 2004 is primarily the result of Scott's vision and leadership as Chair of the Capital Improvement Committee. Scott obtained a BSCA (Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration) from the University of Houston and is the owner of Avance Construction Corp. He is actively involved in marketing, overseeing field operations, preparing estimates, and cultivating client relations in Puerto Rico, Central America, and Southern United States. Scott and Sharon (his wife) have two children: Sebastian who will graduate from Commonwealth this year and Samantha who will be entering senior year at Commonwealth.
